Myths about Virginity

Myth #1. First sexual intercourse occurs at 14 – 15 years old
In fact, at this age teenagers only talk about sex. Boys love to tell porkies to show their manhood. Average age when people start sexual life is 17,4. First sexual intercourse directly depends on well-being in family, mentality and education level. The more higher are those indices, the later occurs virginity loss.

Myth #2. Vaginal membrane in a woman thickens with age, therefore the later occurs virginity loss, the more painful the process is
Each female has individual anatomical organization of vaginal membrane, its size and thickness are different in each woman. Certainly, it has nothing to do with age. If vaginal membrane is elastic at 18 years old, it would be the same at 28.

Myth #3. In a woman early sexual debut is harmful
First of all, vaginal membrane is a barrier to infections for the period until is not formed protecting flora (by 17 – 18 years old). Up to this age vagina has a very subtle epithelium which easily gets traumatized during sex which may lead to inflammations and even infertility in a woman.

Myth #4. In a woman late sexual debut is harmful
In older times doctors considered that migraines and acne are a result of long-standing virginity. Perhaps, they are resulted from hormonal problems but have nothing to do with vaginal membrane existence. Often those disorders have psychosomatic character.

Myth #5. Defloration is a very painful process
Certainly, everything happens, even banal physical incompatibility. Normally, when woman is aroused enough, there may be no blood and pain at all due to natural lubricant produced by vagina.

Myth #6. First female partner should be older and more experienced male
It is desirable but not essential. Experienced partner knows how to bring a woman to highest degree of arousal which would surely ease the penetration. It is connected with experience and not with age.

Myth #7. It is better to lose virginity in bath
Warm water easily relaxes muscles, prevents spasms and reduces pain. But unfortunately, water washes away natural lubricans in a woman and a man. Chlorinated water also prevents gentle penetration.

Myth #8. Using condom makes first sex painful
Modern condoms are covered with special lubricant which helps to ease sliding. The ideal variant is when you add natural and personal lubricants, which would provide more gentle and painless penetration.

Losing Virginity Without Pain

Virginal membrane is a very subtle barrier covering female vaginal opening. While vaginal membrane breaking, pain is not strong. Woman experiences unpleasant sensations because her vagina is not stretched yet and is too narrow, and also her muscles may be too strained because of agitation.

Blood loss usually is symbolic, and some women even may not have it at all. Next sexual intercourse must be performed in 3 – 5 days to let burst of membrane heal. It is a normal thing when woman has not lost virginity during her first sexual intercourse, so do not get upset. Lots of women experience their first sexual intercourse without blood. What problems may appear while losing virginity and what are the solutions for them?

1) Vagina muscles block penis entering. This rare condition is called vaginismus and in the world from it do suffer just 3 – 4% of women. In case it is a real vaginismus (tightness of the vaginal muscles during attempted intercourse) it is necessary to visit sexologist. However, if it is impossible to go to the specialist, woman can gradually widen her vagina by inserting well-lubricated finger or artificial penis into it.

Additionally, making first sex with beloved man rises chances for successful virginity loss when she is confident that her partner strives for your common happiness, as a result she responds positively (even on the subconscious level) on his actions. The latest thing is best solution for this difficult problem.

2) Strong pain when penis enters vagina. The cause of it may be thick or hardly tensible vaginal membrane and, perhaps, male would have several attempts of defloration before vaginal membrane breaks. If defloration not occurs after 10 – 12 regular attempts within one month, then there is need to go to gynecologist who would perform defloration surgically under local anesthesia.

If woman had not felt any unpleasant sensations, then it means she had elastic membrane which has stretched without any discomfort, Sometimes intensive physical activity, deep washing and usage of  tampons with unsuitable size help to stretching vaginal membrane.

3) Painful intercourse. Pain occurs because vagina walls get stretched and this pain itself is not strong, it just causes discomfort. If woman is not relaxed, then occurs spasmodic muscle contraction of vagina walls and intercourse becomes painful. It means woman is highly sensitive and in future she would feel great pleasure from sexual intercourse. Here may help plenty of extra lubricant and control over genital muscles – woman must strain her abdomen to withdraw spasm from vaginal muscles.

Mutual understanding and patience are most important things when partners do renovate sexual comfort with the help of control over vaginal muscles. As a result, you will easily overstep barrier called “spasm of muscles” and forget about unpleasant sensations, so in future you will enjoy happy sexual life! After some time you would recall these moments with a smile.

You should not feel frustration if woman not experienced orgasm. Only few women feel orgasm in their first sexual intercourse, sometimes they feel it rarely in their regular sexual life. Most women need months and even years to learn to have orgasm because it occurs in them not automatically like in males.
